It is important to communicate with your massage therapist before, during, and after your treatment. Please let the therapist know of any pain, discomfort or irritation. If you feel the therapist is too strong, let him or her know. It is not necessary to feel pain in order to receive the benefits of massage.

When you arrive for your massage, you will fill out a client intake and give a brief medical history. You will be asked to list any conditions, illnesses, surgeries and medications you are taking. This will help the therapist assess what treatment is right for you and what precaution to take. The treatment will be adapted to suit the client's needs and concerns.
Remember, our massage therapists do not diagnose. If you are unsure about any health issues, please consult your physician. There are certain health considerations that will require a doctor's written consent in order for a client to receive any treatment at Keep In Touch.
If you are experiencing nausea, vomiting, fever, dizziness, vertigo or flu like symptoms it is best that you do not receive massage. Usually getting a treatment while under the weather results in the client feeling worse. There is also a risk of spreading contagious illness to others.
For certain modalities we will need you to disrobe. The proper draping will be provided and all body parts will be covered except for the area we are treating.
Certain treatments, for example, AMMA Therapy and Shiatsu do not require undressing. We recommend wearing loose comfortable clothing when you receive these techniques.

Be sure to communicate with your massage therapist. Ask as many questions as you want and let them know of any concerns or discomfort.
